I know its not a Toyota but it might be of some interest to a few of you. After a very sucessfull 2010 we have decided to take our Evo 7 alot further and are going for full drag spec. Our personal best this year was 9.27 @ 155MPH, 8's are coming very soon.
Here are a few pics of how the car sits at the moment, we have just fitted our new M/T tyres last week but we wont get a chance to try them untill next year.
We will be updating this post regularly with the work and development progress.

Old power graph, 2.6bar, VP Import, No NOS.

Wee update, we still havent started stripping the car yet as were far too busy to even look near it. Im going to take into it myself over the weekend and make a start.

I weighed that car last nite and were deffo going to try for 1000KG, where to start???

Were slightly further on but we hardly get a chance to work on it at the moment.

Were a bit further, going to get stuck into it this week and make some big progress before the metal for the cage arrives in Janurary.

Nearly there, only about 4 more bars to do and then off to get dipped next week.

Made a few spacers for the seat to get the right height and tilt.

Steering column shortened

Chassis getting stitch welded and a few unnecessary brackets removed.

There are a few more bars to go in which will total about 5-6KG but this is the weight of the shell at the moment

Chassis legs shortened

Steering mount done

Shortening the steering column

Stitch welding the chassis

Making the rear subframe

Shell's final weight with extra bars, seat and mounts

Getting loaded to get the shell acid dipped.

It should be back on the 22nd May from the dippers and in primer.[/Q

Got the car back home on sunday morning.

The shell is now 9.5KG's lighter than before the dipping. We are taking into it this week and
starting the build, i can see her doing the first few events in primer as i dont think it will have time to get it to the body shop.

Starting to make the exhaust. It comes out of the turbo 4" but we have had to bring it down to 2 x 3" pipes as we dont have the clearance to run 4" under the car unless we cut part of the floor out which we dont want to do.
