PostSubject: Engine rebuild?   Sat Apr 21, 2012 7:30 pm

In the past few weeks the engine has started pouring out blue smoke on the overrun. I think it's high time it got rebuilt. It's only a standard $efe in it and I'd like to keep it that way for now. I'm thinking of throwin a 5e engine I have ind shed into it for now and rebuilding the 4e over the summer. Does anyone know of any places in Ireland preferably that I can buy an engine rebuild kit?

Where did you get them parts from? I've seen rebuild kits on ebay but they're in the US. Yeah I have everything ready to run the 5e it will only be there as a temporary measure.

If bottom end is good I'd leave well enough alone.

Unless you're machining the crank stay away from acl bearings. I learnt that the hard way

They aren't as well sized as Toyota OEM bearings.
