 Celica nct question

quick question for ye lads I took the Celica in to get it tested and it fail on wheel bearing which I will be getting tomorrow.. and it fail on Mechanical brake hand lever ( what does this mean)?? and it also fail on the Aux.Lamp Condition (switch) fogs lamp Switch-does not operate independently of side light .. can anyone help please

Did they not explain what was wrong or did they just hand you the sheet

Maybe the handbreak is traveling to far to engage the brake this can be solved by tightening the handbrake cable and do the foglights work when you turn them on ? maybe a new stalk is needed idk iv never heard of that.

Your fog light's are probably wired to your parking light's. The fog lights need to be on a switch of its own

As said above the handbrake lever is probably travelling too far as in too many clicks. I think 6 clicks is the maximum allowed. It can easily be adjusted

Just disconnect the fogs for the test.

no bud he just hand it over and said it fail and he walked away (wanker so he is.. Twisted Evil )
and I was thinking that the handbreak might need to be tightening but as I said I was not too sure..
now the fog lights do work when I turn on the light..

he would have to wire them properly. if they there they have to be test em . better off takin em out altogether. can't test what's not there.

they are wired properly, thats how the fogs work on pretty much any car, they dont come on unless at least the parking lights are on
