 part worn tyres need help with sizes

Im driving a 01 corolla lowered 40 mil all round with 16 inch lenso rs5 alloys unsure of offset but I think it is et40 currently has 195/45/r16 but he only has 205/45r16 would they fit Any help would be great thanks

had the exact same job on my corolla but with 195/50/16 tyres and they arch even when car was empty if i hit a bump, it was undrivable nearly with anyone in the back,

this was with one pasanger in the back after about 5 miles

id say if it was posible to get streched tyres or mabe a narrower tyre that fits ya might get away with it 175/45/16....if theres such a thing

Done it before on a civic putting 205's instead of 195's on 16" alloys - cant remember the profile but it was low. Never again though rubbed everywhere. Any bump would rub, turning the wheel fully would catch the arch. Absolute nightmare just hold out and get the 195's imo.

It's only 5mm wider each side, thats fork all. Unless things are very close already, they'l probably be fine.

195/50 on the trueno and it's decked with no issues, had 205s on it and they were catching the damper, had to use a 5mm spacer to have em rubbing the arch instead of the damper
