engine swap nct

Well lads hoping someone can answer a question for me I'm going to do a 20v conversation on my e10 and I'd like to leave it as a 1.3 On the book anyone had problems with the nct after doing this? Or what can I expect like are the emissions different or anything like that thanks lads

makes fuck al difference on emmisions but if they do spot its not registered they will fail !!

Well my nct won't be till Jan but I'd just like to know as I can't get insured On a 1.6 even with 2 year ncb and full license not until I'm 25 I've tried everyone

so ur going driving around uninsured then i hope u get caught thats the reason our policies keep going up every year for those uninsured drivers

anyways you need to get an engineers report and al that crap u be doing tax fraud to that can land u in court Smile

be smart and wait till you can legally drive it Smile

if when you get caught for it getting insured on a 1.6 will be the least of your worries. Also have you thought about what you will do if you have an accident, your insurance will not pay out, and rightly so. You could lose your license and be in even more trouble for tax dodging as colin already pointed out.

What where you trying to insure?
Also if you cant get a quote on a 1.6 you can apply to the insurance ombudsman.

This shit boils my piss just insure it properly or don't do it all it's costing me 2200 to insure the glanza properly, if your not prepared to pay the money then stay driving 1.3

What are your circumstances though? Not being able to insure a 1.6 till your 25 is ridiculous. Are you 17 and on a provisional or something? Any previous claims/convictions?

100% agree! When I was renewing my policy last month the fella on the phone said everyone's insurance had gone up this year due to shit like this and he said it will get much worse. It's very frustrating because everyone else suffers and the majority that do play by the rules end up paying higher rates than what they should be.
